Kris Harriman painting photographer Bob Watson for the Archibald Prize

Kris was born in Auckland, New Zealand, into a family of professional and amateur artists.

She has lived most of her adult life in Sydney, NSW and took Australian Citizenship after fifteen years of residency.

Kris won the Status stamp Award, part of the James Hardie Wildlife art competition, with her watercolour "Two for a Duck". She was hung twice in the prestigious Archibald Prize, and a finalist in the Portia Geach Portrait Prize, for women Artists only.

The majority of her commissions are Portrait, wildlife or landscapes, which she prefers to do fairly loosely.

Christies of London have twice accepted her work for their wildlife Art Auction.

Exhibitions include the Australian Wildlife Exhibition in Melbourne, & numerous others.

Kris's work is hung in Private collections in many parts of the world
